HYDERABAD, INDIA

I think it was March/April of 2016, when a very dear friend (same one that introduced me to this place in this piece) told me about a camp of rohingya refugees not too far from the city center. He was working on a short film, documenting their stories and journey up to that point and I decided to tag along. However, before I did, I reached out to another very awesome friend and asked her if I did a piece on the camp, would she be able to get this published somewhere. Anywhere. And of course, she did.

Little did I know then, that I would be moving to Burma on work a couple of years later.

Anyway, the piece, embedded below, was carried by Refugees Deeply and was a return of sorts to writing for me. Sadly, I didn’t do much writing (paid anyway) after this. So, was it really a return?

Who can tell these things.
